This Friday the Our Supper Stories Community is having its first "Block Party". It is a chance to show our appreciation for this community, highlight some amazing business owners (and their stories, of course!), raffle off some awesome prizes and just have an overall good time. But what's a Block Party without food? Our "bring a dish" aspect of the Block Party is such a fun way to give everyone a chance to participate, share a bit about themselves and open their kitchens up to our community!

This recipe comes from my very own sister, Kim! I call her Kimi, so it just feels weird to call her Kim, but for the sake of introducing her to you all, I'll deal. ;)

Kimi hosts the most beautiful parties. Anytime she is hosting a holiday or event of some sort, you can guarantee it will be thoughtfully planned, carefully orchestrated and absolutely beautiful.

Kimi and I share a dislike for seafood so it's pretty fun that this is the recipe of hers that I am sharing. Her comments about this dish??

"I've never tasted it, but I hear it's good."


I get that though...I've never tasted my ceviche either. Maybe we're related or something. ;)

I love how easily this comes together, while looking so fancy!

Kim's Ceviche Shrimp Cocktail


1-2 pounds cooked shrimp (or blanch raw shrimp and immediately shock in cold water)

Spicy V-8 to taste and consistency

1 jar cocktail sauce

1 red onion, finely diced

3-4 tomatoes, seeded and chopped

Cilantro, chopped, to taste

2-3 avocados, diced

1 cucumber, diced

Juice of 1 lemon + lemon for garnish

Combine all ingredients and allow to rest in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

Thanks for sharing, sister! I'm gonna have to make this for Art soon. He lives for a good ceviche! Love you!
