Remember the other day when we told the story of Jaime Whitlock and her Scentsy business? Remember how she talked about how our virtual meal was going to be meatloaf with chocolate chip cookies for dessert? Guess what? We she is sharing those recipes with us too! Our Supper Story came full circle now that I have a little piece of Jaime's kitchen. The coolest part? You do too! (If you missed Jaime's Supper Story, head over HERE.)
This is what Jaime has to say about her meatloaf recipe, which honestly cracked me up:
"I'm one of those add it til you feel it type cooks so I am literally guessing at all of these measurements except the amount of meat and eggs and crackers! :) And yes, I make it with that much meat because Jeff & three boys are an army unto themselves lol!"
One of my favorite people on Instagram is Tabitha Brown. She refers to this type of cooking as "Cooking by The Spirit." I love it! Ha!
2.5 lbs ground round
2.5 lbs ground sausage
one sleeve of crackers, crushed
2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
4 TBSP ketchup
1/8 cup brown sugar
mix all ingredients together until combined, put in a 13x9 deep casserole pan and cook approximately 60 min or until done. Sometimes I make a topping to put on the last 10 or so minutes of the cooking process but that's only if I'm really feeling it. The topping is 1 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup worcestershire, 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar all mixed together and then glazed over the top of the meatloaf.
