This Friday the Our Supper Stories Community is having its first "Block Party". It is a chance to show our appreciation for this community, highlight some amazing business owners (and their stories, of course!), raffle off some awesome prizes and just have an overall good time. But what's a Block Party without food? Our "bring a dish" aspect of the Block Party is such a fun way to give everyone a chance to participate, share a bit about themselves and open their kitchens up to our community!
Today, we have a guest post from Trinity who blogs her yummy food over at "At Home With The Leavy's." She has a natural talent in the kitchen and "speaks food" in a way that I understand. I knew I liked her, even before I found out she shared a name with my daughter! Her Instagram is filled with yummy food and I *highly* recommend you go give her a follow.
The dish she is bringing to the Block Party is "Street Corn Salsa." I love the idea of this dish because it reminds me of esquites, one of my favorite things on earth!
Here is what Trinity has to say about her dish:
"This recipe has definitely been edited many times, until I found the perfect balance of spice and freshness! This is such an incredibly easy dip to make and all my friends and family request it- actually I’m pretty sure I’m now allowed to go to any of my friends or families homes without this in hand! I serve this salsa with some tortilla chips and that’s it. When I first tried a recipe similar I never thought it would be this good!"
Here are the details:
Thank you so much, Trinity, for joining us at the Block Party! This dip looks amazing (you had me at queso fresco) and I'm sure it's going to be a hit!
